ISM drops second deadly club bombshell in the form of DJD's extravagant remake of Chaz Jankel's 'Questionaire'.
Question; what do Quincy Jones, Sly & Robbie, Ian Dury, Larry Levan, Jellybean Benitez & Talking Heads all have in common?
North Londons finest Chaz Jankel.
Originally released by A&M records in 1981 the album of the same title also contained '3,000,000 Synths' & the American billboard smash 'Glad To Know You'. As many know CJ was Ian Dury's co-writer on the infamous No 1 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick' and also 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll'.
In full testiment to Chaz's vision & musical dexterity, this release sounds as current as ever. Longtime Chaz collaborator DJD has taken apart 'Questionaire' & rebuilt to devastating effect.
DJD aka Domanic Dawson formally from Reel House on the legendary Zoom & Defected Records has been part of the London house fraternity since early 90's and is still tweeking the bassbins to the utmost.
Already receiving club play from Faze Action, Bill Brewster, Horse Meat Disco DJ's, Dave Lee & Prins Thomas this sounds like a slow burner for the summer months. Its hard to decide on which mix is killing it as they are all so complex & immense but please play loud, close your eyes and dream you were dancing at the Paradise Garage!
Chaz is currently finishing his latest longplayer due to be released later in 2009 and has been busy collaborating with Robbie Williams on his new album
